Ok so I am new to this , why am I doing it at all? two reasons:

I need to work out how to make web pages for a web site I maintain for London Potters, in particular to make our existing site visible to mobile users and Ipads and Iphones.

This could easily degenerate in to a rant:

“Computers are supposed to make life easy!” how many times have you heard that one….

Well one computer may be but multiple computers, net works and different operating systems, don’t get me started.

We have just realised that the Ipad users can’t see our website properly and if they do log in with an Ipad or Iphone they only se part of the site and no Navigation.

No body said we were quick at LP. and why well some thing called Flash. the nice folks at Apple Mac headquarters don’t like Flash and so don’t support it.

Well aint that just fine and dandy. The fact that every PC in the world can use flash with a simple if somewhat large down load, and that’s a lot of people,

Oh! that’s not good enough for the Apple Mac boys, well not quite in their Safari Browser on a Mac computer you can run Flash through an emulator or something…

So now, thanks a lot guys, we have to redesign our website! and the Mac boys are not the only ones,

it seems every different browser, yes, you lot at Google Chrome, Firefox, and Opera et al all do things just a little differently,

and then there are all of the mobile platforms and different little bitty screens to cope with.

The Nice people here at WordPress tell me with a little help from them all will be Cool and Harmony will be restored to all of our readers.

Well here goes, still seems like a lot of work to me!

Oh yes, the second reason is to show the world my pottery and link in to some other Potters around the world.

But that will take a back seat untill get the other stuff sorted.
